Frequently Asked Questions

How to clean a Camelbak drink bottle?

Camelbaks can be cleaned with dish soap and hot water. Simply fill your sink or basin with washing up liquid and hot water, then use a sponge to wash the bottle, lid and straw components of your Camelbak. Camelbaks are also dishwasher-safe, though hand-washing is recommended for maximum longevity. They should be washed thoroughly once a day, or at least after every use of the water bottle.

Are Camelbak water bottles dishwasher safe?

All components of the Camelbak water bottles are dishwasher safe, including the bottle, cap and straw components. Even though handwashing your Camelbak water bottle with washing up liquid and hot water is recommended, cleaning it in the dishwasher will not damage the bottle itself.

What are Camelbak water bottles made from?

Camelbak water bottles are made from a BPA-free material named Tritan. As well as being BPF and BPS-free, Tritan is a durable and dishwasher-safe copolyester polymer that doesn’t alter the taste of the water bottle contents. The straw components are made from stainless steel, and the Camelbak caps are made from polypropylene for optimum toughness and sealing. The bottle valve is also made from medical-grade silicone.
