Why choose a foam floor bed
Traditional kids' beds use a hard wooden or metal frame with raised rails and a mattress sitting well above the floor. Cloudnest takes a different approach: the entire frame, from the headboard to the side rails, is soft high-density foam, wrapped in a fitted deer-velvet suede cover. There are no hard edges to bump into and no gaps for little hands or feet to get caught in. Because it sits low to the floor, your toddler can climb in and out independently. That's the core idea behind the Montessori floor bed approach to a first "big kid" bed: building confidence at bedtime instead of relying on a parent to lift them in and out.

Underneath the soft exterior is a 30D white high-density foam core that holds its shape through daily use, night after night. The removable deer-velvet suede cover closes with a quality YKK zip and is machine washable, so spills and everyday mess are easy to deal with without replacing the whole bed. A silicone non-slip base keeps the bed steady on the floor and protects your flooring underneath. It's built to the same standard as the rest of our kids furniture range. The mattress itself has a waterproof inner layer, adding protection beyond the washable cover for overnight accidents, which is particularly useful during toilet training.
