The Marlo is a nursery recliner chair in light grey with a smooth, leather-look finish. Diamond quilting runs across the headrest and the front of the footrest. The recline is electric, and the base swivels 270 degrees by hand and locks. It glides too. Nothing about it says baby room, which is the point: it can move to the lounge once the feeding years are over.
It has a high back with a quilted headrest at the top and curved arms that slope down towards the front. If you're weighing it against the Luna linen chair or the Ivory lamb fleece chair, the table further down sets out the differences. It's on backorder for now.
What stands out about the Marlo
Electric recline
Two buttons on a small panel at the side of the arm work the recline. The footrest lifts as the back tilts, and its front panel carries the same diamond quilting as the headrest.
Lockable 270° swivel
Turn the chair by hand until it faces where you need it, then lock the base. It's handy when you want the chair to hold still.
Glide
The chair glides too, giving you a gentle rocking motion when a baby needs settling.
Quilted headrest

Where are the controls and how do they work?
A small panel on the outer side of the arm has two buttons for the recline. It sits under your hand when you're seated. The chair has to be plugged in for the recline to work.
Do I need a power point close by?
Yes. A cord runs out of the back of the chair. The recline needs power, but the swivel and its lock do not. Pick a spot with a power point nearby and keep the cord clear of the base.
Will it look right outside the nursery?
The Marlo is plain and grey with stitching in a matching tone, so it fits in a lounge room or a bedroom as easily as in a nursery.
How is it different from the Luna and the Ivory?
All three recline electrically, glide, and swivel 270 degrees with a lock. The difference is fabric and shape. Marlo is smooth leather-look with a quilted headrest, Luna is cream linen and Ivory is cream lamb fleece.
