A soup pot that goes from chopping to serving

This wooden soup maker toy has everything for making a pretend pot of soup, from peeling the vegetables to ladling it into a bowl. A cream and peach pot with a lid sits on a dark base that has two buttons and a clacking dial for the temperature.

The pieces

Kids get a peeler, a spoon, a ladle and a knife for slicing a two-part carrot and a leek. A bowl, a pepper pot, a hand-held blender and a bag of cannellini beans finish the set. Cutting and peeling the wooden vegetables is a good fine-motor workout, and the clacking dial gives a satisfying click when the soup is ready.

A recipe kids can follow

Start with the vegetables, add the beans, let it cook and blend it smooth. Children enjoy the order of the steps, and many will read an imaginary recipe out loud as they go. Older kids use the pot for restaurant games, with a customer, a menu and a bill at the end.

Size

The set is 21 cm wide, 19 cm deep and 14.5 cm high, and it weighs 685 g.

Build the kitchen

Pair the soup maker with the Mini Chef Home Kitchen, the Mini Chef Kitchen Range or the Pretend Veggie Basket to add more ingredients. Our kitchen toys collection has the full range.
