A little wooden chicken for the farmyard
Small, round and cheerful, this wooden chicken toy, a brown hen, is only about 4.7 cm long and 3.2 cm high. She is the smallest of the ten animals, and the size is the charm. It fits into the palm of a hand, a dolls house garden or a pocket-sized toy farm.
Details
She is made from solid rubberwood, with a red comb, a yellow beak and a brown body, and she sits on a pale yellow nest that doubles as a flat base. She never needs propping up.
Where it lives
A chicken wants a coop, and the Dollhouse Chicken Coop is the obvious match. If you are building a farm, add it to the Stacking Farmyard Animals with Bag or line it up on the Farmyard Animals Display Shelf.
Small figures like this one suit the pretend play ideas in the Small World Play collection, where children set up farms, gardens and tiny kitchens.
Care and age
Wipe with a dry cloth. Because the hen is so small, she is recommended for ages 3 and up.
Add the chicken to your farm
Put the hen in your cart, or browse the full Tender Leaf Toys range for the coop and the rest of the flock.
