A wooden crocodile for the river bank
Long, low and a little bit sneaky, this wooden crocodile toy is the animal that makes a toy river feel real. It lies flat along the ground, so it slides under a bridge, hides behind a block or sunbakes on a tea towel riverbank without any fuss.
Size and finish
The crocodile measures about 14.9 cm from snout to tail and 3 cm high, which makes it the longest of the small Tender Leaf animals. It is cut from solid rubberwood and stained olive green, with a scaly pattern painted along the back and tail.
Who it plays well with
Put it next to the wooden hippo for a water-hole standoff, or add it to the Safari Adventure Set when the group needs a villain. It also earns its place in the Small World Play collection, where kids build their own habitats from blocks, fabric and whatever is in the toy box.
Made for small hands
Each Tender Leaf animal is sanded smooth and painted with water-based stain. The pieces are small, so they suit ages 3 and up.
